BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT :

                                                                                 The Department of political science Government degree college Gajapathinagaram was established in the year 2019. As part of bachelor of arts (3years) under graduation course, students pursuing the political science discipline. the college was affiliated to Andhra university and department duly following all the syllabus and guidelines of mandated by the Andhra university and also adding are enriching content.Contract faculty appointed through Rjd.The department was also conducting wide range of programmes to bring awareness on social, political, economical and cultural issues and sensitizing the students of all   Presently the department was one sanctioned lecturer posts. Filled by contract basis.

Posts Sanctioned:

                                 Initially Political science classes for HEP students were taken up by the faculty who were deputed from different Government Degree Colleges (2019- 2023.) In March 2023 One permanent posts were sanctioned by the government. Non – teaching posts were not sanctioned.
