The Govt. Degree College, GAJAPATHINAGARAM, Viziyanagaram Dist, started functioning fromthe academic year 2019-20 with BA, B.Com and B.Sc courses. It is the only one degree college run by Govt of AndhraPradesh in Vizianagaram Dist. In those days.The Department of Mathematics was established in 2019 along with otherscience facilities. There are two combinations with Mathematics. MPC and MPCs with a strength of 30 and 20 respectively. Now the presentstrength is increasing day by day. So the Govt of AP, increased the seatsand converted all groups to English medium.
